Presentation following Mass at 9:30 a.m.
This one-hour talk with 30 minute Q&A clarifies terms such as assisted suicide, MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying), euthanasia, DNR (Do Not Resuscitate), Living Will, palliative care, and excessive medical interventions.
Grounded in reason and Catholic teaching, we will explore how to uphold human dignity while avoiding the extremes of unnecessary, burdensome treatments on one side and euthanasia on the other. The principle of proportionality—determining what level of care is truly appropriate for each unique patient—will be explained in practical terms, equipping the faithful with the knowledge to navigate these sensitive decisions with confidence and moral clarity.
