My dear brothers and sisters,
In just a few days, we will celebrate the greatest good news the world has ever received:
“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us, and we have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord” (Luke 2:11). God’s love took on human flesh and chose to dwell among us—a divine gift that fills our lives with hope and joy.
This is my first Christmas with you here at St. Jerome, and these past six months have been a time of immense joy for me. I have been deeply inspired by your faith, enthusiasm, and dedication. I feel blessed to witness the way so many of you work tirelessly to share God’s goodness with those who need it most.
St. Vincent de Paul has generously supported 60 of the most vulnerable families in our community this Christmas.
The Knights of Columbus distributed coats to children in all eight local schools and donated $3,500—funds they raised through yard-cleaning efforts—toward Church renovations.
The Catholic Women’s League (CWL) has undertaken the much-needed washroom renovations.
These acts of service are a remarkable expression of love and commitment to our parish and community.
St. Jerome is also blessed with exceptional musical talent. The beautiful contributions of our Choirs are evident in every weekend Mass. I am truly grateful to all the choir directors and team members for their dedication to enhancing our worship through music. A special word of thanks to Mr. David Bebiem, the Choir Director for the 8:00 a.m. Sunday Mass, for organizing the community Christmas carol event this past Friday.
To ensure a meaningful and joyful Christmas celebration for all our families and visitors, I have adjusted the Christmas Mass schedule:
Christmas Eve Masses will begin at 4:00 p.m. (especially for young families and seniors), followed by Masses at 6:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 12 Midnight. Christmas Day Masses will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 Noon.
May the joy, peace, and love of the Christ Child fill your hearts and homes this Christmas season.
Wishing you all a blessed and joyful Christmas!
